BiblioBoard is excited to announce an agreement to host and distribute content from the esteemed National Film Board of Canada (NFB) on their unlimited multi-user platform. The collaborative effort between BiblioBoard and the NFB will see approximately 1,000 titles added to the platform, with plans to triple that number over the next five years.

The NFB has been the Canadian government's leading film and media producer for nearly a century. It has produced over 13,000 films in both English and French and grossed over 5,000 awards since its inception, to include eight Webbys, 12 Academy Awards, 14 Canadian Screen Awards, and more than 90 Genies, an award for cinematic excellence given by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television.

The team at BiblioBoard is both pleased and honored to partner with an organization of such remarkable pedigree. Mitchell Davis, founder and chief business officer at BiblioBoard, is especially happy: "The NFB's production reputation is unparalleled and libraries have been asking for just this type of high value content to engage patrons in their community.

The NFB is a mission-based organization and recognizes the need to make content more accessible to smaller library budgets and sell content in a more library and patron friendly way. We look forward to a long fruitful relationship with them as a U.S. representative of their content."

The NFB are equally thrilled to partner with a company like BiblioBoard, whose recent primary focus on library community engagement has led to an expansion of engaging multimedia content on their platform. "The NFB is eager to connect and share with new audiences in the U.S. via BiblioBoard's accessible platform, making stories told from unique perspectives more readily available for research, debate and discussion," says Claude Joli-Coeur, Government Film Commissioner and NFB president.

"This agreement is representative of the NFB's strategy to reach out to new audiences in the U.S. and to share our stories beyond our borders via cutting-edge platforms and in cooperation with like-minded organizations."

The films and multimedia produced by the NFB cover the spectrum of cinematic genre, to include educational material, documentaries, animated films and multiplatform digital projects.
